‘The Color of Money’
The movie The Color of Money will be playing at the Gay Street Theatre on August 1 and 2 at 7:30 each evening. Paul Newman reprises his role as Fast Eddie Felson in the explosive sequel to The Hustler, for which Newman won the Oscar for Best Actor. Painting classes for ages 6-10 will be held at the Child Care and Learning Center August 17-21 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Please note change in date.
Your child will eiyoy creating a series of acrylic paintings on canvas board. The theme of their series will be one they choose. The emphasis of the course will be on finding a meaningful image, developing it from different angles, and using high-quality materials. There will be daily drawing exercises and a public showing of the final works.
Laurie Marshall will be the instructor. The fee which will include materials is $30. For additional information call CCLC at 676-3237.
4-H summer camp
