In today’s world, especially, the choices are often difficult. The emphasis seems, too often, on always
wanting to feel good. People often go to great lengths to avoid discomfort: be it physical, mental or emotional.
The unfortunate result is that people end up never having their own opinion. They agree with everyone else, even when they know in their heart that it’s wrong.
It leads to people always being followers, and never speaking out as a leader.
Integrity is a quality not easily acquired. It requires honesty - even in the face of intense pressures to compromise and just slide by. That requires a commitment to a high standard of values and morals.
The road which leads to integrity is not an easy one to travel, but those who seek it find that the rewards are worth the difficulties along the way.
