The girls cheered their entry in the camp’s crab races to a first place finish, winning a few more minutes of life for Foogle, who as champion went last into the pot for the crab feast. They also helped prepare and then dined on shark, squid, snail, crab, caviar and more at the seafood sampler.
According to Jessica, it was a total immersion experience. “First, we dissected the squid. We pulled out its backbone and after we popped the ink sack, we used the backbone and the ink to write with. Then we took part of the squid and cooked it. It’s gross to think about, but when you’re eating it, it tastes pretty good.”
