Decades of tossed-together combinations of canned soups and leftover meat and vegetables have given casseroles a less than desirable reputation.
Yet the concept of a one-dish meal with little effort and lots of flavor seems so well suited to the '80s kitchen that it’s worth reviving. Maybe no one is looking for an update of the old tuna-noodle team, but the casserole can be a great option for anyone with more imagination than time.
