For the first time on Fridays Sept. 22 the Lynn Care Center at Warren Memorial Hospital became, the first nursing home facility in Warren County to register potential residents to vote.
Julia Smith, Director of Activities for the Lynn Care Center says it’s a first event. “This is the first< voting registration that has ever taken place at Lynn Care, and we’re, happy it’s taking place this year.
According to Danielle Windlet Warren County Registrar, nursing/, home voting is relatively new. “In 1982, there was a law passed by the'. General Assembly allowing nursing home residents to register and vote in elections.”
