Tax office extends hours
The office of the county's Commissioner of Revenue will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, during March and April. According to Commissioner Beverly Atkins, the extended hours will enable her staff to offer additional help during tax season. “County residents are urged to take advantage of the longer hours," she said. Residents with questions or comments about matters relating to their taxes may call Ms. Atkins at the commissioner's office (675-3513).
Fun Fair at RCES
The RCES PTA will hold its annual Fun Fair at the elementary school this Saturday, March 18, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Featuring games, food, a bake sale and “fun galore for the entire family," according to PTA organizer Linda Mallory, who invited all county residents and their ; children to attend. The first 200 children will receive a special gift, and there will be surprise entertainment from 3-4 p.m. “I think that you will be sorry if you let thiseventpass you by," Mrs. Mallory said. The PTA is also seeking volunteers to assist with the activities.
