The Rappahannock News has learned of two candidates for the seat on the Board of Supervisors representing Stonewall-Hawthorn District which became vacant when Nelson Lane resigned last week.
Both Robert Anderson and Robert Darby are circulating petitions and talking with residents of the district in an attempt to garner support. The four remaining members of the county’s board have announced they will make an appointment on March 28, following a public meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 23.
