At Wakefield, she has won the Leadership Award, All-Around Girl Award, Wakefield Writer's Award, Greek Award, American History Award and the William E. Lynn Sr. Award for Academic Excellence. She played varsity field hockey for three years and won the Fastest Girl Skier Award in 10 grade. She has also served as secretary-treasurer of the Wakefield student body.
Miss Whitworth has participated in the Governor’s School for the Gifted; the Rotary Youth Exchange to France; and the Harvard Model Congress twice, where she received the Outstanding Senator Award both years.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Dixon Whitworth Jr. of Winchester and granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. F.D. Whitworth of Front Royal. She is a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Winchester, where she is co-president of the youth group and sings in the youth ensemble. She has studied piano for eight years through the Shenandoah College and Conservatory Community Arts Program.
