Our community has been saddened by the death of Mr. Robert McDaniel, a lifelong native who passed away last week and we offer our great sympathy to his wife and other family members.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fincham of Culpeper were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Fincham and Peggy.

Mrs. Richard White of Ri-Dan Farm is a mighty proud grandmother these days upon the arrival of Christopher Richard, born to Mr. and Mrs. Richard White of Virginia Beach on Feb. 15.

Mrs. Clarence W. Jenkins spent Sunday with Mrs. Early Sisk in Sperryville. Mrs. Sisk is improving from her recent hospitalization.

Randy Jenkins, a student at Liberty University, Lynchburg, is spending spring break with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Jenkins.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fincham of Leon were Friday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Cave and Tonya and also visited the Raymond Fincham family.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier and family and Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville were luncheon guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Meade in Culpeper.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Peregory of Route 615 were hosts Saturday at a party at their home honoring their little daughter Jennifer, on her second birthday. In addition to her brother Joseph, others present were Mrs. Lucille Peregory, Mrs. Ruth Peregory and Joel of Front Royal, Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Grigsby, Chrissy, Kevin and Jason of Viewtown, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Bragg and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Peregory of Rixeyville, Mrs. Montrue Frazier and Shirley and Rebecca Mills, local. Mrs. Lucille Peregory and Joel remained as overnight guests of the Peregorys.

Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Matthews and family of Bealeton were here Sunday to visit Mrs. Matthews’ grandmother Mrs. Cary Thornhill.
