A basketweaving workshop will be held at Middle Street Gallery in March. Learn to make an Appalachian Egg Basket with wild grapevine handle and reed, just in time for Easter. Trash into art
The Middle Street Gallery and the Child Care and Learning Center will sponsor a family art workshop, using recyclable garbage. It will be held on Saturday, March 18 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at CCLC. Artist Laurie Marshall will supply technical assistance: participants are urged to BYOT (bring, your own trash). The cost is $5 per child, $10 per adult, with a maximum of $15 per family. Children may submit their creations to the Recycled Art Contest, and adults may exhibit their works at the gallery’s Recycled Art Show. For information, or to register, call 675-3267 or 675-3810.
CPR class to begin
Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will be holding a public CPR class on March 16, 21 and 23, beginning at 7 p.m. at the fire hall. To pre-register call the station at 937-5125.
Creative drama classes
At the Town Hall, home of Golden Key and Trapezoid, creative drama classes taught by Cathy Kiley continue for students ages 9-12. If you missed enrolling your child, there will be a spring series starting May 8. Cathy will also teach a theatre workshop for high school students. Call 987-3106 for information.
A Day of Games

'On Golden Pond'
