'Sleeping Beauty' at theater

The movie Sleeping Beauty will be playing at the Gay Street Theatre on Saturday, March 18 at 2 p.m. and on Sunday, March 19 at 7:30 p.m. The enchanting tale of a young princess, Briar Rose, who, when struck by an evil spell, is taken into the forest to be raised by three good fairies. She meets a handsome young prince and falls in love, but not before Maleficent, the evil witch, leads her to prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel to put her into a deep sleep. The only one able to bring her out of the spell is the handsome prince in this classic Disney story. The movie is rated G. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children.

Drawings on display

“The Goddess” series of drawings by Kim McLaughlin will open at The Village Cafe on Tuesday, March 21 at 6 p.m. The drawings will be on display for one month.

RAA baseball registration

T-ball, Little League and Babe Ruth for boys and girls ages G-15 will be held March 18 and 25 at the Rappahannock Elementary School field from 10 a.m.-noon and at Hackley’s Store parking lot in Amissville on March 18 from 11 a.m.-l p.m. Fee is $15 for first child or $25 for 2 or more.
