Piedmont Press: Mr. Reichert: How many llamas do you keep? At this time I have 15 llamas, 7 girls and 8 boys. The boys are my packs for the summer and the girls raise the babies that I sell. Are they good pets? Yes, they sure are. Llamas are very easy to train and get along with small children very well. Can you ride them, or race them? Well, children can ride them. They only weigh between 250 and 350 lbs, so adults are too big. They don’t ride well though. They are better suited for carrying packs. We do race in small pony carts. How does Piedmont fit in the llama plan? Piedmont has done all our printing for the last 9 years. Everything from business cards, brochures and calendars, beautifully and affordably.
