“Networking” is- when like minded agencies get together to accomplish a single goal or goals.

We had a wonderful example of “networking” this past week in the Environmental Awareness Week in the county schools. Spearheaded by the Rappahannock County Garden Club, many environmental activities and displays were made available to our county students. I want to take this opportunity to thank those people and agencies who gave so generously of their time and money.

Thanks to the Rappahannock Lion’s Club whose members enthusiatically made plans to plant trees on the grounds of the elementary school, ordered the trees, got the proper permission, and will accomplish their goal sometime this month. The Lion's Club also gave generously toward Ed Clark’s speaking fee, which benefits the Virginia Wildlife Center at Weyer’s Cave.

Thanks to the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection who secured the services of Mary Bair to give the science students in both schools, a talk on our precious water supply here in this county.
