Franklin Walker
Franklin Joseph Walker, 74, of Washington, died April 10 at University of Virginia hospital.
Mr. Walker was a native of Rappahannock County and the son of the late John and Alice Barbour Walker. He was a member and deacon of f irst Baptist Church, Washington.
Surviving are twro sons, Charles Jackson and Franklin Jackson, both of Harrisburg, Pa.; one daughter, Blondell Smith, Harrisburg, Pa.; three sisters, Dorothy Scott, Arlington, Iva Fletcher, Harrisburg, Pa. and Ethel Morrison, Mt. Vernon, N Y.; one brother, George Robert Walker, Washington, D.C.; and a number of grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held April 15 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Wendell Grant officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Beulah Atkins, 88, of Sperrydied
April 5 in Culpeper Memorial Hospital. I >; Mrs. Atkins was born Oct. 26, WOO, in Rappahannock County, the daughter of the late Ashby and Treva Claytor Atkins. She was a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church and married to the late Frank Atkins.
Surviving are one son, Elmer S. Atkins, Sperryville; one daughter, Florine Atkins Estes, Sperryville; four brothers, Roy Atkins and Hill Atkins, both of Sperryville, Elmer Atkins, Flint Hill and Levi Atkins, Amissville; three sisters, Mary Anna Jenkins, Washington, Maggie Atkins and Lois Dodson, both of Front Royal; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral was held April 8 at Beech Spring Baptist Church in Sperryville with Dr. E. Wayne Thompson and the Rev. Ray Campbell officiating. Burial was in Washington Masonic Cemetery.
