"Bagdad Cafe' at theatre
The feature film at the Gay Street Theatre on Oct. 13 and 14 is “Bagdad Cafe," Percy Adion's whimsically off-beat comedy. The “Bagdad Cafe" is a desolate desert truck stop, suspended in a dusty limbo somewhere between those tow quintessential cities of dreams, Hollywood and Las Vegas. Showtime on both Saturday and Sunday is 7:30 p.m.
Culinary Hearts course
The Extension Service will sponsor a ; Culinary Hearts cooking course, developed i by the American Heart Association, • beginning Thursday, Oct. 11. The course, which teaches basic principles of nutrition, food selection and preparation, ways to modify favorite recipes and how to plan heart-healthy menus at home, when dining , out and when entertaining. The classes will meet from 10 a.m. to noon each Thursday through Nov. 1 at the Extension Office.
