Haunted house in Flint Hill
On Halloween, Wednesday, Oct. 31, between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. the Flint Hill Fire Hall will be transformed into a haunted house for the trick-or-treaters. Come take a tour with our ghosts and goblins. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. The haunted house •is sponsored by members of the Flint Hill Fire and Rescue Company.
Acting class begins Nov. 6
A new resident professional production company, Olde Towne Theatre in Washington will hold adult acting classes at Washington’s Town Hall on Gay Street beginning Tuesday evening, Nov. 6 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Classes are on-going, weekly and the fee is $25 per month. Turkey walk Nov. 4
The Rappahannock Chapter of the American Heart Association will conduct its annual “Turkey Walk” at the intersections of Route 600 and Route 612 in Old Hollow on Sunday, Nov. 4. Murder mystery benefit
On Oct. 27, Windmore Foundation will sponsor “Suspense at Salubria,” a haunting evening of intrigue and mystery. Guests will participate in solving a murder mystery enacted during cocktails and dinner in Culpeper’s oldest brick house. Story hour at Library
The Rappahannock County Library will hold story hour for preschoolers on Wednesdays, Oct. 24 through Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. Call 6753780 to register or for more information.
Aerobic classes

The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a family portrait session on Oct. 27 and 28. The 10x13 canvas textured portraits valued at $59 will be available for only $5. Certificates are available from any member of the fire department. “They will make excellent Christmas gifts,” said an organizer. Homecoming at RCHS
Oct. 20 is homecoming at RCHS. The events begin at 2 p.m. with a soccer game against Wakefield. During half time the homecoming court will be presented and the 1990 homecoming queen will be crowned. The day’s activities will conclude with the annual semi-formal homecoming dance held at RCHS from 8 to 11. All alumni are invited and encouraged to attend.
