The Salem Garden Club will be co-hosts with other clubs for a meeting at the Holiday Inn in Culpeper on Thursday, with meeting beginning at 10 a.m. and having as guest speaker, Dr. Stanwyn Shelter.
Jim Peyton of Culpeper spent Sunday with his mother Mrs. Sylvia Peyton.
Mrs. Clarence W. Jenkins was a Monday guest of Mrs. Early Sisk in Sperryville.
Amanda Sims spent the weekend with her grandmother Mrs. Hazel Hawkins.
Last Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Joe Peregory and children dined at China Jade in Warrenton in observance of Mrs. Peregory’s birthday.
The Salem Volunteer Fire Department held their open house on Sunday with live music, refreshments and drawing of prizes. This was the beginning of their annual fund drive and the time when 3onations from the public are asked for and especially from people living in the immediate area. Also at- this time new members are sought by the department, so whatever you can do please be generous.
Sunday luncheon guests of [Mr. and Mrs. Owen Cubbage on R^. 615 extended were Mr. and Mrs. Lary Cubbage and girls of White Shop, Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Tharpe and Katrina, Ronnie Cubbage, Diane and David all of Culpeper.
