Retired Senior Volunteer Program staff and volunteers of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Center will be approaching area merchants and businesses between Oct. 1 and Oct. 15 to enroll them in the Senior Citizen Discount Program.
This program, part of the services to senior citizens offered by the Center, is designed to promote awareness between businesses and older persons in Rappahannock, Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison and Orange counties. Participating businesses will receive a red-and-white Senior Citizen Discount Program sticker to place in their window or on their door, and will be listed in the “Voice of Experience,” which reaches more than 3,500 households in the Planning District, as well as in press releases to local newspapers.
