Bond denied
Allison in
firearms case

ALEXANDRIA — Kenneth Warren “Kenny” Allison, 36, of Marshall, was ordered held without bond by a federal judge Friday, according to agent John Fretts of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
It was the second time Allison has been denied bond since being arrested during a series of pre-dawn raids by federal agents on Allison’s properties in Fauquier, Rappahannock and Prince William counties.
He has been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Officials have said other charges are forthcoming. The federal firearms charge carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
U.S. Attorney Henry Hudson, whose office will be prosecuting Allison, will not comment on the case, according to a spokesman.
About 70 federal agents executed “no-knock” search warrants on Allison’s properties Nov. 10. Guns, drugs and papers were taken in the raids, which also involved agents from the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations and members of the local sheriffs departments in Rappahannock, Fauquier and Prince William counties.
