Tuesday last found Mrs. Pullen helping serve an appreciation luncheon to persons who have helped with the Women’s Financial Information Program. She is always willing to lend a helping hand.
Her 1990 Extension Homemaker activities include serving dinner at Camp Fantastic on Rappahannock Night, serving at the Baccalaureate Tea for RCHS’s senior class, contributing food and selling at our county bake sale, being a hostess at the Farm Show, making favors for Area 9 Day, and helping with the Extension Homemakers bloodmobile. The Red Cross mobile unit asked that she help. She has worked with them a number of times. She has perfect attendance for this year. She has believed in, worked for, and been an EH member for 55 years.
Mrs. Pullen is faithful at work. She is more thoughtful than love requires. She has helped with the “Quilts for Baby AIDS Victims” and joined the church women in making receiving blankets for Third World babies. She takes food to homes where there is illness, visits the sick, has given at least 500 hours to the Nutrition Center, is a good mother and grandmother, and spends her time making our world a better place.
Mrs. Dodson is a member of the Flint Hill Extension Homemakers’ Club.
