Fireworks rescheduled lor July 28
The fireworks show for the town of Washington, rained out on Independence Day, has been tentatively rescheduled for dusk on Sunday, July 28, according to Washington Mayor Dean Morehouse.
Although a few of the set pieces were destroyed by the rain showers, Mayor Morehouse stated the the great majority of the pyrotechnics were salvaged.
The July 28 date roughly coincides with the town's birthday.
Any change in the new date will be in the Rappahannock News next week.
Note that this is a change from what had been publicized over the weekend (that the rescheduled date would be in August).

The Rappahannock Planning Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. July 17 in the county courthouse to discuss the special use permit for the Yates Subdivision, which has b£en changed from a four-lot plan to a three-lot plan. The commission will also debate amendments to the county zoning ordinance for family apartments.
