Joshua Swatman
earns scholarships
Joshua Paul Swatman, 17, of Amissville received two scholarships for his freshman year at St. Andrews (N.C.) College.
He was named a St. Andrews Honors Scholar and was awarded an Academic Honors Scholarship of $4,000 per year, for a total of $16,000 for his four years at St. Andrews.
The scholarship will remain in place as long as Josh maintains at least a 3.2 grade point average.
He also received a $400 scholarship from the Julia E. Boddie Scholarship Committee for his second semester at St. Andrews.
