He said on a busy day he might get 10 visitors though many an afternoon passes with just a few customers.
It’s not a discouragement for Mr. Sharp. He has hopes for his store.
When retirement arrives for Mr. Sharp, he hopes to fill all three rooms — at present, two are used as living space when he visits — with store and craft essentials, making the tiny store a mercantile landmark.
Right now, the store is in the molding phase.
There is no phone and no delivery. When items are required to stock a thinning .supply, Mr. Sharp stops at the Price Club for items.
Traveling with his wife, Mr. Sharp has acquired things from around the United States. The huge covered wagon in the yard w'as brought via truck from Oklahoma.
“I just see things at yard sales or garage sales and pick them up,” he said of several of his antiques and collectables.
“Many times, people will just give me stuff because they know of the store,” he said.
