In May the first of several lawsuits was filed when Pamela Lynn, Clydetta Lynn’s daughter-in-law and a co-founder of the school with the late Dr. William Lynn, asked the court to reinstate her family as the school’s operators.

She withdrew the suit a week later and claimed in a meeting of the Wakefield Parents Association (WPA) that Mr. Bassett and Mr. Miller were committing “grand larceny” of the school. She also said she would be starting a new school on the same site next year, and announced that Clydetta Lynn was evicting the board from the property.

That meeting led to the request for the TRO and to a libel suit filed by lawyer Miller against Pamela Lynn.

Following last week’s granting of the TRO by Judge Horne, the whole • matter heads for a hearing at a yetundetermined date on the issue of who owns the property, Clydetta Lynn or Educo.

Mr. Hopewell said the board is confident that the TRO gives the board the ability to hold classes on the site for the coming school year. He said that because of well-known delays in the legal system, it will probably be some time next year until the matter is resolved, and even if Clydetta Lynn is determined to be the owner, which Mr. Hopewell said he doubts will happen, “I don’t think any judge would throw out a 300student school in the middle of the year.”

Native American singer and songwriter Bill Miller of Nashville, Tenn. will perform at the second installment of this year’s Bluemont Concert Series in Page County on Saturday, July 13, held at Inn Lawn Park on Zirkle Street in Luray.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and a requested donation is asked of $3.
