4-H Livestock Club to meet
The 4-H Livestock Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 15 at the Rappahannock Extension Office. The program will be given by Sarah Miller, 4-H IFYE from New Zealand, who is visiting in Rappahannock County. She will present a slide program on her family’s farm operation and her Young Farmer activities. The public is invited to attend.
Bingo at Castleton
Special bingo will be held at Castleton fire hall on Saturday, July 13. Early bird begins at 7 p.m. There will be a $1,000 jackpot. For more information call 937-3076 or 937-6051.
Dream and trance workshop
The New Leaf Bookstore & Organic Harvest Health Food Store will present a dream and trance workshop with Dr. Denise Horton from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 14. In this experiential workshop, Jungian psychotherapist, Denise Horton, PhD. will lead participants through an exploration of altered states of consciousness, with particular emphasis on how to use these experiences in self-healing and recovery. Dr. Horton is a Harvard trained psychologist with a background in shamanism and alternative healing. She practices in Washington, D.C. and Washington, Va. The cost for the workshop is $5 at the door and the store is located at 36 Main St. in Warrenton.
Workshop choir meeting
A workshop choir 1991 organizational meeting under the direction of Brother Robert Rhodes, Sister Evertta Ellerbe, Sister Ilona Epperson and Brother Harrison Williams will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 25 at the Rising Zion Baptist Church in Winston, Va. Dodson reunion
The Ernest and Neva Nicholson Dodson family reunion will be held at fhe Rappahannock Park near Washington on July 14. All relatives and friends are invited to attend. Everyone is asked to bring a picnic lunch. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m.
