Gaynor Tippie Sr.

Gaynor Loy Tippie Sr., 58, a welder at Atlantic Research Corp. in Gainesville, Va. for 32 years, died Thursday, June 27 at the Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.

Mr. Tippie, a resident of Viewtown, was bom in Lima, Ohio. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Anna M. Tippie of Viewtown; three children, Gaynor Loy Tippie Jr. (Butch) of Hudson, Fla., Michael A. Tippie of Chesapeake and Teresa A. Tippie of Woodbridge; and three grandchildren, Michael Brandon, Jason Tippie and Stephen Tippie. He is also survived by three sisters, Laureen Hickey, LaDonna Hickey and Janice Hardesty; one half-sister, Laura Doyle; and one half-brother, Richard Bucher, all of Ohio.

Funeral services were held at Battlefield Baptist Church in Gainesville on Monday, July 1 with the Rev. Karl Skinner and Rev. Michael Edwards officiating. Interment was in Quantico National Cemetery at Quantico, Va. with full military honors.
