Tanya Richey art show
"To Hell with Uncle (The Gateway to My Personal Myth)," a one-person show by member artist Tanya Richey, runs through July at the Middle Street Gallery and Artists' Cooperative in Washington, Va.
The works on display are mixedmedia on various surfaces and feature a series of paintings leading Mrs. Richey into the gateway of her personal myth.

Country singer Kevin Johnson will perform at the Woodsmoke Cafe in Sperryville at 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 12. From Luray, Mr. Johnson likens his act to Jphn McCutcheon, a mix of folk, mountain music, pop, country and blues.
'Cool Water' at Fire Hall
The band Cool Water Express is performing a dance at 9 p.m. July 20 to benefit the Washington Volunteer Fire Company.
The dance, in the fire hall, costs $8 per person and $15 a couple.
Refreshments will be sold.
OKs play at Oldway
There will be a dance party with the popular Rappahannock group, the OK's, at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 13 at the Oldway Craft Village in Sperryville.
Admission is $5 per person.
