Bonnie Jewell was 3-for-5 and Marsha Freeman went 2-for-5. Payne went the distance again, to bring her record to 3-0 on the season, 2-0 in the district.
Boddie is hitting .667 over the first three games to lead the team.

The baseball team found itself in the middle of a pitchers’ duel Monday against Manassas Park, and time ran out on the Panthers.
Rappahannock’s right-hander Hunter Foster went the distance and only gave up four hits. Unfortunately, a hit batsman was all the difference, as it led to the winning run. The final score: Manassas Park Cougars 2, Rappahannock Panthers 1.
A base-hit and the walk put men on first and second for MP in the fourth inning, and then a wild pitch allowed both to advance a base. With men on second and third a blooper single scored both, giving MP the slight margin of victory.
