“It was a wonderful way to spend a day.” That’s how one of the newer members of the Lions Club described his initial exposure to service in the Sight and Hearing Van at Rappahannock High School.
Perhaps he was realizing the importance of the process, the care being taken in testing the eyes and ears of the students. Or maybe he was expressing the rare pleasure of meeting so many fine young people face-to-face and observing that they seemed to appreciate the effort being made by their elders to keep their sight and hearing in good working order.
During the three days of local activity, March 16-18, the Lions Screening Van team, coordinated by Bob Anderson, assisted by Dave Smith and Hubie Gilkey, served the students who participated at Rappahannock Elementary School, Rappahannock High School and the Wakefield Coun
