Actors Dinah PehrsonDay and Ted Pugh will host the final evening of the popular four-part Ki Theatre series “The Exchange” at Ki Theatre, Gay Street, Washington, Va., 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 12.
The last evening of “The Exchange,” entitled “The Actor,” will continue the exploration into the relationship between artist and community, and how that relationship affects the work of the artists and the life of their communities.
Mrs. Day, an actress and singer well known to Rappahannock audiences, trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, and after graduation was invited to become a member of their production company.
In 1985, after performing in many roles in New York City, including the off broadway production of Joe Orton's “The Ruffian On the Stair,” Mrs. Day moved to Rappahannock County. She has since directed Alan Ayckbourn’s “Bedroom Farce,” and performed in roles as diverse as Eleanor in “The Lion In Winter,” Martha in “Strange Snow” and Mary in Ki Theatre’s “The Shepherd’s Play.”
