Children
and Aspirin
To the Editor:
Response to “Notification precedent,” published March 12. A clarification is needed. Yes, we are aware “that a school nurse cannot even give a child an Aspirin without written permission from their parent.”
Let’s have a correction to convey this message: a child should not be given Aspirin with or without permission. Check this one with your family physician.

Responded
to home fire
To the Editor:
We wish to thank the Washington and Sperry ville fire departments for their quick response to the fire at our house Monday night. They were here in a Hash, We were very much impressed.
Above all, thinks to our neighbor Mark Morgan, who bravely went in our basement and got the fire down with a water hose before the fire department got here. He kept the fire from reaching pipes which would have erupted emitting flammable gasses into the basement possibly causing an explosion.
We sometimes don’t realize how brave these people are or how much they do to help others until it happens to us.
