Foster threw 87 pitches in seven innings and tossed an impressive 13 strike-outs. The Panthers’ lone run came on an RBI double by Kevin Jolliffe that scored catcher Mike Jenkins.
The loss was Foster’s second of the season. Earlier in the wee^va strong hitting Page County team got eight hits and won easily, 12-0. Page’s pitcher Butch Gordon one-hit the Panthers; Justin Ferrence’s first-inning hit was the only one he gave up.
Foster went four innings, getting the loss. Kevin Daymude and Leroy North came in in relief.
