try Day School in Huntly. A total of 793 students were processed at the three locations.

The Screening Van Committee was supported by 12 additional members of the Lions Club and by four other volunteers who contributed a total of 110 hours of sight and hearing service.

The test results are added to standard forms previously filled out by the students and, in the case of minors, co-signed by a parent.

The completed forms are then reviewed by a Lion expert and turned over to the school staff for referrals to specialists as test results may indicate.

Of the total of 793 students screened, 90 were found to have vision abnormality. Hearing tests revealed 29 with auditory abnormality.

The Lions Club members appreciated the fine cooperation they received from the three schools and from all the 793 students. We’ll be seeing (and hearing) you next year.
