cial education students aged 15 to 21 who have supervised opportunities to participate in paid or unpaid work. Dr. Gangel said the school system expects to try to introduce such a program in the coming year. “It’s not for everyone,” he said. “It depends on the handicapping condition.”
He said some special education students are working under supervision in the school system, but he hopes to add a “community based” program next year.
In the other three categories, Rappahannock students did generally well on measurements that were based on standardized testing. More students also passed physical fitness requirements.
