'Roaring 4th' Is rolling
Tickets are now on sale for Great Meadow's "Roaring Fourth of July." Anchoring the event will be the traditional Independence Day fireworks celebration. This year, Ruggieri-USA will produce its finest show ever, a fitting finale to a funfilled family event.
The gates will open at 5 p.m., with dinners available on the grounds. For the children, amusements will include hayrides, games and fire truck rides. National champion stunt pilot Earle Andrews will pilot his 400-mph Pitt Special, in a dazzling display of unlimited world-class aerobatics.

'Star Trek VI' Is movie
"Star Trek VI," Rated PG, starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy and DeForest Kelley will be shown at The Theatre at Washington, Va. on Sunday, the weekly RAAC-sponsored movie.
The Enterprise crew battles the dreaded Klingons, and Spock falls in love with his breathtakingly logical protege (Kim Cattrall) in the final chapter of the beloved "Star Trek" saga.
Charismatic characters, wry humor and state-of-the-art special effects add up to all the vital elements that make the legend endure and are once again intertwined in "Star Trek VI." Coming to The Theatre's RAAC movie series: "Father of the Bride," July 5; "The Great Mouse Detective," July 12; "Radio Flyer," July 19 and "My Own Private Idaho," July 26.
