County Feb. 7, 1915, the son of the late Luther Thomas and Eva Nash Brown.
He was a farmer at Rhoda Lea Farm and a member of Lael Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Y. Brown; a daughter, Rhoda B. Carter of Boston; a granddaughter, Tamara L. Carter of Boston and two sisters, Elsie Brown Oliver and Lillian Brown Taylor, both of Culpeper.
A graveside service was held Sunday, June 21 at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Gordon George and the Rev. Peyton Wiltshire officiating.

Mary Maude Poles Green, 51, of Washington, died Thursday, June 11 at Prince George Hospital in Maryland.
Mrs. Green had lived in Philadelphia, Pa. for many years.
She was a member of Promise Land Baptist Church in Washington.
