4-H sewing workshop
The Rappahannock Extension Office will conduct a 4-H beginners sewing workshop for youth ages 9-13 the week of June 29-July 2. It will meet 9-12 daily at the Extension Office. Lucy Oliver, 4-H leader, will be the instructor. Call the Extension Office at 675-3619 to register.
Class reunion
The 1939 graduating class of Washington High School will have a reunion on June 26 at Flint Hill Public House. Anyone needing additional information or anyone with information concerning classmates should call Woodville Barron at 937-4035.
Beauty pageant at CGVFD
The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department will hold a tiny, little, junior and miss Honorary Fire Chief beauty pageant at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 18. The ages are tiny 2-4, little 5-9, junior 10-14 and miss 15-21. Applications are available now until entry deadline of July 8. Registration fee is $25. Contestants sought
The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company will sponsor a Little Miss (ages 3-11) and a Miss carnival queen (ages 12-18). Any young ladies in Rappahannock County ages 12 through 18 should contact Connie Huff Harris at 675-3067 if interested. Prizes will be awarded for the young lady who sells the most tickets.
AA meetings at Trinity
An Alcoholics Anonymous meeting is held at 8:30 p.m. every Thursday at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington.
