Good news about our plans for the upcoming "Pirate Ship" at the county park. We have an anonymous donor who has pledged $1,000 if we can raise another $1,000 in matching funds. Workshop aids
families
To the Editor:
On Jan. tt we conducted a Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATt ’) workshop for families of Warren County. Through the workshop, participants were informed of different aspects of special education aiid developed skills and knowledge used in different stages of the special education process.
This workshop was possible because of the Front Royal Moose Lodge’s dedication and commitment to the well-being of all children. Through their generosity, the Moose Lodge provided an opportunity for the people in the community to take part, without charge, in the PEATC workshop.
The purpose of PEATC workshops is to inform parents with special needs children of their rights under the law and help those parents work with their local school systems and participate in their children’s education.
