Morning workshops include treekeeping with Lyt Wood at Mountain Green Farm, beekeeping, and shiitake mushroom growing at Oak Shade Farm, and egg tempera painting with Robin Purnell at Jordan River Farm. Afternoon workshops include drafthorses with Chris Bird at Horseshoe Hollow Farm and or^js&nic pest control with Richard Abell and Jon Amberson at Thistle Hill Truckpatch.
Joyce Abell is coordinating the workshops, and Heidi Eastham is coordinating the “farm festival” tours. ■:m Also on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. there will be a farmers’ market outside Ki Theatre on Gay ‘^Street. Lyt Wood, working with extension agent Seott Cunningham is coordinating the farmers’ market. -Produce, baked goods, and crafts ’will be for sale.
