stuck there read “all day." We were puzzled. Having driven from the lower end of Rappahannock County and from Madison County and “all day” was now half day gone and the reunion (not counting us three) was of ghost! We discussed and hemmed and hawed and then came to the conclusion we’d go into Luray and get the items needed on that list.

After shopping we were hungry and sa\y a McDonald’s across the parking lot. Out take out orders were Big Macs, fish sandwiches, fries and drinks (Dad had a vanilla shake). Driving is not a good thing to do while eating, and the folks didn’t want to go inside, so we decided to find a place to stop and eat along side the road. This place turned out to be the parking area at Panorama. We devoured out food here, taking in the foggy view, leaving for Rappahannock and Madison counties once more.

I had taken with me my two sister’s belated birthday gifts (Foley Food Mills to be exact) and on our course we “went by” their respective homes for a “few minutes” to make each delivery.

Then once again we were on the road back to Slate Mills, that lower end of Rappah'annock I was speaking of. I w as asked to come in, but took a “rain check” as I wanted to go visit another Baldwin cousin for awhile who was having her 89th birthday.

On my way cousin Eliza Woodward’s I smiled to myself, not, actually I grinned for a long time. I had just spent quality time with my parents. How warm I felt inside. We went all that way just to be with each other, just me, my mama and my dad. Our own reunion Charlie and Florine and Wayne Baldwin.
