Orchard Guide Available
The 1993 Buyers Guide to Fruits in Rappahannock County is now available from the Rappahannock Extension Office on Gay Street or by calling 675-3619. It lists with a map the 15 orchards in Rappahannock County with a brief description of each.
Library Winter Hours
The Rappahannock County Library has begun their new winter hours: Monday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Tuesday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m.-2p.m.
Church Festival
Amissville United Methodist Church will be having their fall festival 9a.m-3 p.m. on Sept. 24 and 25. Rain date is Oct. 1 and 2. There will be a flea market, yard sale, bake sale, etc. Anyone interested in renting a space please call 937-4672 or 347-0072.
Shooting Match At Castleton

LVA To Meet
LVA Rappahannock, the local affiliate of Literacy Volunteers of America, Inc., will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23 at the Rappahannock County Library for its third annual membership meeting. The public is invited. Pat Brummett, The Regional Adult Education Specialist for Planning District 9 will address the group.
