Workshop Offered

r^le J^aPPsh3nn°ck County High School Guidance Department will of offering a workshop at 7 p.m. on Oct. 4 entitled “The New PSAT and SAT: Changes and Challenges.” Mr. James Futrell, Director of Guidance and Mrs. Joyce Brown, Guidance Counselor will discuss the changes in these tests that will begin with the Oct. 12 administration of the PSAT. All interested students, parents, and community members are invited to attend. The meeting will be held in the high school library.

Berry/Clark Reunion

The annual James Adrian and Bertha Ellen Clark Berry reuinon will be held at 12 noon on Sunday, Oct. 3 at the Rappahannock Park in Washington. Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish.

Sock Hop, Bake Sale

There will be a sock hop and bake sale to benefit the PTO at Rappahannock Elementary School from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 24. Cost is $1 per person not to exceed $5 per family.

Tennis Clinics

Tennis clinics are being offered by the Rappahannock Park on Tuesday and Wednesday for juniors at all levels, beginners, intermediates and advanced. Adult clinics are on Wednesday afternoon and Saturday mornings.

Paper and Clay at Middle Street

The public is invited to the opening of “Gleanings From Rappahannock, works of handmade paper by Nina Moore and clay by Jeanne Drevas at Middle Street Gallery in Washington from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2. Drevas will show work in low-salt fired porcelain, a technique she developed during her three-year stay in Switzerland. Moore will feature new work from her experimentation with handmade paper.

Moore and Drevas are sisters. The show runs through Oct. 24. Gallery hours are Friday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
