During the meeting Wood said that he had many calls about the proposed transmission line to run from Sperryville to the Rixley substation. Wood said that when he met with representatives of the Rappahannock Electric Copperative from both Culpeper and Fredericksburg, he told them that "the proposed route is not acceptable to me or the people of Rappahannock County.”
The company officials agreed to take a “hard look” at alternatives, said Wood. "I feel like we accomplished something” at the meeting, he added.
