The ever-popular haunted house at the Flint Hill Fire Hall is back this year, after a one year hiatus. It will be open from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 30. This is a really scary one, and parental discretion is strongly advised. Upon leaving the haunted house, children will be offered free cookies, cider and apples.
Also from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, the Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department will be sponsoring a Halloween party at the fire hall. A spokesperson promises “prizes, games, food and fun for all.” For more information, call 635-5601 or 636-7936.
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a Halloween party at the fire hall from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 31. Prizes will be awarded to those judged to be wearing the best costumes. Games planned will be a bean bag toss, pinata bashing, and musical chairs. Refreshments will be available. Admission is free.
