As I drove through the countryside on that bright and brisk day in late October, the swirling leaves fragmented my view, so that I slowed to a stop alongside the road where I perceived a most fantastic visionSpanning
the horizon was a stage, and on that stage was a myriad of majestic dancers adorned in their festive fall finery of orange and red and gold, swaying to and fro, keeping time with the woodwinds as they swept melodically through the trees, reflecting the brilliant light from above.
Moments later, I blinked back to reality and resumed my travel through the colorful autumn countryside. I marveled at the power of the imagination as it had influenced my perception of what I had “seen” seconds before.
Cod, the ultimate Creator, has given us the gift of imagination. He has also given us the gift of choice...of how we choose to perceive our world. Let us worship God each week, opening our hearts to the power of the Master, in order that we shall be influenced to perceive our lives as more positive and meaningful.
