Halloween Party
The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a Halloween party at the fire hall from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30. There will be prizes, games, food and fun for all. For more information call 635-5601 or 636-7936.
Preschool Story Hour
“Reach for the world” is the theme for The Rappahannock County Library’s preschool story hour which will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 2 and will continue every Tuesday through November. The first program will be presented by Barbara Sherwood. All preschoolers and their parents are invited to attend these free programs. Costume Ball
The Fauquier Chapter of the American Red Cross serving Rappahannock County is pleased to invite you to its third annual Costume Ball featuring The 1993 Battle of the Caterers from 9 p.m until midnight on Saturday, Oct. 30 at Highland School.

Haunted Hay Rides
Haunted hay rides, bonfires and hot dog roast will be held from 68 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30 at Mountain Green Farm in Washington. A costume contest and pinata-bashing event will be held at 6:30 p.m.
Advanced tickets will be $5 for adults and $3 for children. At the gate tickets will be $6 for adults and $4 for children. Rain date will be Sunday, Oct. 31. Bake and Craft Sale
The Amissville Full Gospel Church will be holding a bake sale and a few holiday crafts from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20 at the Giant Food Store in Warrenton.
