INVITATION TO BID:

Rappahannock County

Courthouse Water

Distribution System _ The Rappahanock County Board of Superviaore Is soliciting bids from Qualified Offerors to provide all labor and materials necessary to install a new water distribution system to County offfice buildings in the Town of Washington. The work is to include the following: 1.) Provide all necessary trenching/excavation from the water meter at the corner of Mt. Salem Avenue and Porter Street (SE corner of the Rappahannock County Jail) to the Jail, the Clerk's Office, the Courthouse, the Commissioner of the Revenue's Office, the Treasurer's Office, and the Old Extension Office (County Administration Building). Said trenching/excavation shall include covering, seeding, and mulching the installed water line as called for in 2 ), below, upon completion;

2.) Provide and install minimum two inch (2") schedule 80 plastic water line within such trenching, jointed, sealed, and connected to each structure named ini.),above.

Bidders shad submit a bid sheet which shall include a fixed price for 1.) and/or 2.) above, shall be signed by the bidder, and shall include the name, address and telephone number of the bidder. The procedures for Competive Sealed Bidding as set forth in §11-37, et seq., of the Code of Virginia, 1950 (as amended), shall apply. The County reserves the right lo reject any, or all bids.

Bids shall be submitted not later than Monday, November 1, 1993, at 12:00p.m., to John W. McCarthy, County Administrator, Old Extension Office, Gay Street, Washington, VA (or mailed to John W. McCarthy, PO Box 519, Washington, VA 22747 so as to be received not later that the bid due time). All bids will be opened and publicly read at 12:05 p.m. Please contact County Administrator's Office for bid specification and addendum. ,
