Revival services will begin at Woodville Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 31. The Rev. Dr. Jack Altman will be preaching at all services. Dr. Altman has pastored churches in Tennessee, Kentucky, Maryland and Virginia, ranging in size from 200 members to 2000 members. He retired from the pastoral ministry last January, at Kentwood Heights Baptist Church in Quinton, Va. He had been the pastor there for ten years, during which time the church had grown immensely. He is currently Interim Pastor at Shalom Baptist Church in Mechanicsville. i Dr. Altman is no stranger to this part of Virginia, having many friends in the Fredericksburg area and he had his membership in the Fredericksburg Baptist Church before he went to Seminary.
Dr. Altman earned his B.A.degree at Cumberland University in Tennessee, his B.D. degree at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, his Dr. of Ministry at Lancaster Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania. He will be Adjunct Professor of Religion at the Rappahannock Community College in Glenno, Va.
