After the garden visit, Club members conveyed at the Rappahannock County Library meeting room for their bag lunches and a business meeting. Especially appreciated was the ice tea which hostesses Ellie Kreamer, Helen Bridges and Pauline Bruce provided.
A disappointment for the club this year has been the failure of the highway plantings. The club spent $250 for Cosmos seed which was sent to the Culpeper District of VDOT for median plantings on Rappahannock County highways, but not a single blossom has appeared. Club members voted to try again for next year with hopes that the results will be better.
