Comprehensive Plan (The Planning Commission got its review of the Comprehensive Plan off to a good start in June with presentations by the Piedmont Environmental Council and 1 the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection. , Audience participation in that meeting contributed greatly to the discussion. However, there was little followup at the July meeting, and the discussion of format was rather confusing. We hope Chairman Mike Massie will follow up on Frank Reynolds suggestion at the June meeting that the commission find a way to get the community involved in the review of the plan by starting tyith meetings at which the public is invited to discuss what they like about Rappahannock and how the plan can protect those things. Any discussion of the format to follow in actually writing the plan needs to come after such a discussion. i Also the other organizations that have been invited by Mr. Massie to present their group’s feelings of how the county should respond to development pressures dn our borders need to take advantage of the opportunity and enter the discussion. f i . ■
